Standing Firm

He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
Psalm 40:2

During the difficult days of my husband’s hospital, skilled-rehabilitation experience, and subsequent nursing-home stay, I was amazed how the Lord Jesus gave me physical and emotional strength. I knew I was standing firm in the power of Christ. Daily, I continue to work towards a position of standing firm on the Solid Rock and the truth of His Word no matter how intense the hardship. God is so patient. He continues to teach me that strength comes when I choose to roll hardships over onto His shoulders.

My blog will display entries of gratitude, petitions, heartfelt feelings, laughter and sharing life in general. My hope is that together we will see the evidence of His presence, the power of prayer, the strength of His peace, and fall deeper and deeper in love with Jesus.

You’re invited to come with me on this journey and together let’s take our position of standing firm. We will choose to stand firm on the truth of God’s Word and not on how we feel.

Even when you feel scared, tired, or alone, God is still…

Most High:   He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Strong:   O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God. Psalm 59:17

Near:   “Never will I leave you.” Hebrews 13:5
