I’ve heard that if you tie a string around your finger it will help you remember what you don’t want to forget. I haven’t done that, but when days are fast and full it might not be a bad idea. In the not-so-good days, remembering how God has been faithful in the past makes today’s worries begin to fade. Intentionally choosing to look back and remember God’s goodness positions us to experience His gift of peace.
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Psalm 77:11-12
