Carl and I used to take dance lessons. We learned how to two-step and waltz. Those were our favorites. But because of Carl’s stroke we’re learning a different kind of dance. This dance is not a typical dance that requires movement of your feet and arms. Instead, this dance is called “life” and requires childlike trust and a laser-like focus on Jesus, the Leader of this dance. A childlike trust enables us to rest in His arms. The laser-like focus enables us to live beyond the suffering. Even in our brokenness we are held together and carried step by step. The Leader of this dance called life will never lead you in the wrong direction. He will hold you tight. His love is unconditional and His eyes of grace will ease your suffering.
You turned my wailing into dancing. Psalm 30:11
Oh I loved your blog on dancing and this special dance we are doing each and every day called LIFE. !! And I agree that our laser- like focus on Jesus and our eternal home called Heaven gives us the determination and hope we need to make it through some days.. It is the Grace of God that helps us to continue the dance until the music stops ๐. What a beautiful encore that will be on that Glorious Day.
๐I sure liked the song that Dot shared and plan to make me a copy. Thanks. Jan
I bet you’re familiar with this song!
I danced in the morning
When the world was begun,
And I danced in the moon
And the stars and the sun,
And I came down from heaven
And I danced on the earth,
At Bethlehem
I had my birth.
Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he,
And I’ll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I’ll lead you all in the Dance, said he
